The month of May brings some of our favorite celebrations and recognitions... including but not limited to Jewish American Heritage Month, National Nurses Week, Cinco de Mayo, even May The 4th Be With You. But the one I’d like to dive into is Mental Health Awareness.

It's no secret that mental health is important and affects a large majority of us. Mental health issues can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or any other type of condition, it's okay to talk about it, and it’s certainly okay to seek help. The truth is that there's nothing wrong with struggling with your mental health. It's just like any other health issue, and it's important to get the help you need.

While we’re certainly not experts within the field, our team will be pulling content from within our Ten-Minute Trainer Network to help those in need. We’ll also be chatting with an expert or two throughout the month about the resources available to help those who are struggling with mental health issues. Therapy, medication, and support groups can all be incredibly helpful, and it's important to find the right combination of treatments that works for you.

We can all do our part to help by being open and supportive when our friends or family members express their struggles with mental health. We look forward to diving more into the topic over the next month.
