Presenter Bios
Derron Steenbergen
Derron is the President and Founder of the Swagger Institute. The Swagger Institute specializes in fundraising, sales and leadership training, motivational speaking, and business and nonprofit consulting. He is also the Chief Revenue Officer of Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation. Commonwealth Broadcasting owns and operates 17 stations in Kentucky.
Steenbergen has over 25 years of broadcast sales experience, beginning as a local direct rep and advancing through the ranks of sales management. His years of training salespeople led to the formation of Swagger. Recently Steenbergen saw a need to incorporate and adapt his sales expertise into winning strategies for the nonprofit arena and formed Golden Rule Fundraising, the nonprofit division of Swagger Institute.
Steenbergen enjoys teaching simple steps that can help sellers and fundraisers make more magic in their careers. His high-energy, audience-involved seminars are making huge impacts on people across the country, both in person and virtually. Steenbergen has recently been called “the most relatable sales guy in the country,” “the Joel Osteen of sales” and “the modern-day Zig Ziglar.” He is also the past chair of the Kentucky Broadcasters Association where he served several years on the KBA board. He is active with many civic organizations throughout South Central Kentucky.
Steenbergen is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, married to Krista Steenbergen, and has three daughters, Logan, Lyn Dawsyn, and Landry. When he is not working, Derron enjoys relaxing with a good cigar.
Speed Marriott
Speed began his career in broadcasting in the last millennium as a copywriter. He quickly discovered that copywriters drove cars from the previous decade, while account executives drove cars from the current decade. Based on this revelation the move was made to sales and he has never looked back.
Speed has worked for broadcast companies such as Shamrock Broadcasting (Disney), South Central Communications, Entercom (Audacy), and Eagle Communications. In 2007 Speed partnered with broadcaster Katey Woolam and Bryan Marriott to create the online training company, P1 Learning. Today P1 Learning caters to thousands of broadcast stations and media-based companies on an international basis.
Speed earned a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from the University of Central Missouri. Professionally he has earned both CRMC, CRSM designations and has completed a variety of training programs including CSS, Disney's Service Magic, War College, and the NAB Executive Management course at Georgetown University.
Stephanie Theisen
Stephanie is a strategic leader with a deep passion for people and leadership development. With more than 20 years of experience in broadcast sales and executive leadership, she is known for driving organizational growth, developing high-performing sales teams, and building strong, sustainable cultures.
As Chief Strategy Officer at ALIGN, Stephanie helps leaders turn strategy into scalable execution across business development, marketing, and client experience. An Authentic Confidence Coach, she brings a practical, people-centered approach to leadership—helping executives and leaders build confidence, clarity, and momentum where it matters most.
Erik Therwanger
Erik is the founder of Think GREAT and author of The Think GREAT Collection. A former media executive, he built high-performing leadership teams and helped drive more than 300% annual sales growth through strong systems and strategic execution. Drawing on his background as a U.S. Marine, executive leader, sales professional, and entrepreneur, Erik now teaches organizations how to achieve greater results through leadership, strategy, and sales excellence.
Through his 3 Pillars of Business Greatness, Erik has inspired leaders across corporate, military, nonprofit, healthcare, and education sectors. Beyond business, Erik is a devoted husband and caregiver, sharing his family’s powerful journey as a source of hope, resilience, and inspiration in his keynote presentations.

His leadership in these roles underscores his ability to drive growth and cultivate strategic partnerships.
Jason's expertise spans various industries, where he consistently delivers results through innovative strategies and a customer-centric approach. He is renowned for his exceptional communication skills and dedication to fostering collaborative work environments.
Jason holds a degree in Business Administration and continually enhances his knowledge through professional development programs. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is passionate about mentoring emerging leaders and contributing to community development initiatives.
Savannah Gillispie
Savannah is a marketer and graphic designer with a passion for people and a deep focus on branding and digital marketing. She brings a continually expanding skill set that includes SEO, media buying, email automation, graphic design for print and web, brand management, and web design—paired with strong experience in project strategy and content development.
Throughout her career, Savannah has led and collaborated on high-impact initiatives ranging from directing a team of 12 marketing professionals serving nine distinct brands to developing and executing e-commerce strategies that drive measurable results. She has also created comprehensive, multilingual communications plans distributed globally across seven major languages.
With a deliberately diversified background, Savannah blends creativity with strategy to build brands that connect, perform, and scale—delivering thoughtful, results-driven marketing solutions across platforms and audiences.
Chris Brunt
Chris is a results-driven digital media strategist with more than 20 years of experience leading and coaching sales teams to deliver innovative, multi-platform marketing solutions. As Digital Sales Manager at Beasley Media Group, he works closely with a team of media advertising executives, collaborating across sales, project management, and creative teams to build high-performing digital campaigns for clients.
Chris specializes in developing and executing data-driven strategies across programmatic display, email, streaming audio, OTT, video, social, and SEM. He is also a skilled trainer, creating and leading educational sessions for both staff and clients to drive adoption and performance. Under his leadership, digital revenue growth reached an exceptional 273%, reflecting his ability to align strategy, execution, and measurable results.
